Beautiful Sunday afternoon (In February!)

Sunday afternoon was so nice we couldn't resist a walk at the local nature trail.  This is Amber's first time looking out while being strapped to Mommy.  She seemed to enjoy it for most of the walk but had enough at the end.  I totally get it: it's hard to cuddle when you are facing out.

After dressing Amber in cute onesies for so long, it is strange for me to dress her in a dress (I even had to ask Sandi how to do it).  I'll still be getting her a Home Depot apron so she can help me out in the garage.

Last week, Keith sent me text showing me a picture a little red skirt.  Cecily outgrew it and wanted Baby Amber to have it.  Luckily, Grandma and Grandpa were heading down here and were able to deliver it.  Amber loves it.  Thanks, Cecily!

Grandpa's Birthday

January 14th is Amber's 5th month.  It is also Grandpa Reimer's birthday.  Amber agreed to share her celebration with Grandpa so we hosted dinner at our house.

What's wrong?

This picture cracks me up.  Amber is generally very mellow or happy. What is she so concerned about?  Did Mommy take her bottle away?  Is it almost bed time?  Did we threaten tummy-time?  We'll never know.

Winter Storm 2016

Shortly after the new year began, Snowpocolypse 2016 the Portland. It delayed going back to work a day which was nice, but not much beyond that. I'm still hoping for a true winter storm that will give us 3 days of hunkering down.

There's an Elephant in the Room!

 A friend gave Amber a massive stuffed pink elephant. Every month we break it out and measure Amber.  We're not sure what Amber makes of the elephant but its kind of fun for mom and dad.
